Contrasts

Anyone want to help me fill in this outline?

There are four evils which mark the fallen state of Christians in general:
  1. Their love of the world.
  2. Their love of ease.
  3. Their fear of man.
  4. Their distrust of providence.
The primitive believers were just the reverse of all this.
  1. They despised the world, and its flattering allurements:
  2. They took up the cross, and denied themselves.
  3. They boldly confessed Christ, and suffered for his sake
  4. They trusted God for all things, and so took joyfully the spoiling of their goods.
