Goals for a Praise and Worship TEAM.

I have capitalized TEAM, because that is what we are to become.

The joining together of those God brought us as a team.
Technical proficiency in music. Ever expanding our individual and corporate talent(s). Not that we may stand on our own, but, that we may have something to offer God's Spirit as we serve His people.
Spiritual Growth for each of us. Individually, Maritally, and Corporately. That we would learn to walk in the Spirit daily. And, that we would fill our lives with the Praises of God not only publicly but privately as well.
That we would present ourselves as part of God's plan to build His Church at your music ministry here. That God will use us to lead His people into Praise and Worship.
That we would be used to lead God's people into private praise as well as public praise.
That we would be used by God to develop a sense of expectancy among the general congregation. That they might arrive "Prayed-Up" and "Praised- Up".
That as a people we would provide a place of worship where God's Spirit willingly hovers to such a degree that no man can enter that sanctuary without a full conviction of God's Presence.

So, there, then is a glimpse of my heart for Praise and Worship, and the place the Praise team occupies in the church.

"Now the Lord is that Spirit, and where that Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty." 2 Cor. 3:17

The Lord inhabits the Praises of His people. Ps. 22:3, Gal. 6:16, Rom. 9:6-8

God is love... Where God is there can be no hate. 1John 4:8

God is no respector of persons... Where God is there can be no racial prejudice. Acts 10:34

God is healthy... Where God is at sickness must flee. Ps. 42:11, 43:5

God is light.. Where God is darkness must flee. (at the speed of light!) 2 Cor. 6:14, 1Pet. 2:9
