Hebrews 4:16

I was meditating on obtaining mercy and grace and I was given the following scripture:

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly, (Out-spokeness, Bluntness, Frankness, Openness, Publicity), unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Isaiah 35:10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

Obviously this isn’t something that can be done secretly, quietly, or timidly!

Also, as I meditated on boldly I got the sense that the boldness comes from ownership, that is I/we belong there, (at the throne of grace), it is ours!

We are part of God’s household, family, and the throne room is part of our house! And, if the throne room is part of the house, so is the throne of grace. As heirs, the house is ours, as is everything in it!

When my children need something from my desk they usually just “borrow” it. Sure, they should ask, but, they are part of the family, the desk is part of their house, so they just obtain (take) what they need...

Think about it!
