Faith
Persuasion, credence, conviction, of the truthfulness of God.
We are persuaded...
We give credence to biblical knowledge as truth...
We are convinced that certain things are actual factual...
Cometh
Present and imperfect tense. This means that it is not acceptable to rest on yesterday’s faith... Faith needs to come everyday, actively.
By Hearing
Audible hearing. This lends some credence to the impetus some put on "speaking" the word, (so it can be audibly heard). But, this kind of hearing is in our hearts, that sweet still voice of the Spirit.
And Hearing By The Word [Rhema]
An utterance to an individual, or collection of persons, implies specificity. Implies a specific matter or topic, with an imperative. That is, it has command presence, ie. takes charge of the situation. Casts out fear, and doubt. Which is one of the proofs that what you’ve heard really is the Rhema of God.
Of God - Theos - supreme deity.
This kind of faith is authored and perfected by God Almighty. It is not manufacturable by mere humans! We must seek God diligently (II Chron. 7:14, Psalms 34:18, Hebrews 11:6) and receive daily that measure of revelation faith the we need.

God imparts faith in response to our exercise of that common measure of faith every man has received, as we seek him and request a continuing revelation of himself to us!

A lot of people think that faith cometh by merely rote repetition of the Logos (the written word of God). I suspect that, that, is not the case...

Rote has a place in focusing our minds and hearts on God who is the author of the Faith we need.

But, God wants relationship with His children. Open and Honest relationship. Our focus is to be on Him who has adopted us as His own children. And, on Him who willingly gave Himself up for us, allowing the Justice of God to be satisfied so that we could be adopted as true Sons and Daughters of God.
