Our 24th Wedding Anniversary!

House of Myrrh is a ministry concieved by Mike Druckenmiller Sr. in the early 1970's when God gave him a burden for the church, the name of the ministry, and the logo concept. Many of the pages on the Site were written over the past several years.

House of Myrrh believes that God gave Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers, and Evangelists .... To PREPARE God's people for works of service. (As opposed to 'just' warming a pew and paying a tithe.)

House of Myrrh is dedicated to 'Spurring One Another on to love and good works'. And to provide a forum for discussing some of the issues facing the church. A Yahoo! Group was recently set up at: House of Myrrh 1974 to facilitate interaction.

While the name 'House of Myrrh' may seem to be a bit odd. It under-scores the burden of the ministry to the Body of Christ as a whole. Myrrh, as you may be aware, was a bodily preservative. It was one of the chief ingredients used in Jesus' burial, and was one of the gifts given at His birth. We are hoping to do more 'healing' and encouraging than 'stirring things up.'

Mike was raised under the excellent teaching of the Assemblies of God starting at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Colonial at Spotswood Ave. in Norfolk, VA around 1957. Mike was able to 'get under foot' during the early days of CBN when Pat Robertsons first TV station was in Portsmouth, VA. During this same period Mike was priviledged not only to witness Oral Roberts and Kathryn Kulhman during the peaks of their ministries but also be 'underfoot' and prayed over behind the scenes.

Mike has studied for the ministry and has completed all Bible Based studies required for licensing under the Assemblies of God.

Over the past few decades Mike has served in many positions: Teen Sunday School Teacher; Adult Sunday School Teacher; Church Treasurer; (defacto) Associate Pastor; and as Music/Worship Minister. Mike was also active at Teen Challenge Guam in the early 1970's.

In addition to the Web Site, Mike and his family are continuing to seek God's direction as regards to full time Christian Ministry. This is in response to a continuing heart call by God especially in Worship, Teaching, Administration and "enabling". Unfortunately, though there were several confirming prophecies, long-term service continues to be 'somewhat' elusive.
